Phoenix Contact strengthens its position in the field of connection technology
Both companies are based in Niederdorf in Germany's Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains). SKS Kontakttechnik offers electrical engineering components and systems. Pulsotronic manufactures specific sensor solutions.
The two companies will bring more than 400 employees to the Phoenix Contact Group. The takeover of these companies is the most significant acquisition in the corporate history of Phoenix Contact.
SKS founder and former owner Martin Schweitzer has been working with Phoenix Contact for the past 20 years. He will remain in charge of Pulsotronic Anlagentechnik GmbH.
The acquisition of SKS means that Phoenix Contact will strengthen its market position in the field of connection technology solutions. Furthermore, the application know-how of Pulsotronic's sensor technology is a valuable addition for increasingly digitalized customer and industry solutions.
The initiation of the takeover process has been supported closely by the Advisory Board and the shareholders of the Phoenix Contact Group. The transaction is subject to the approval of the Federal Cartel Office.
